Steve Furtick, who played for Memphis and St. Louis, to return to St. Thomas Aquinas

Former St. Joseph’s basketball coach Steve Furbick has announced that he is returning to the St. Paul’s University campus.

The St. Vincent de Paul Athletic Association announced in a news release that Furbik is returning for his senior year.

Furbichick played for St. Francis of Assisi and St John’s Episcopal before joining the University of St. Peters in 2006.

He also spent a year with the Memphis Tigers of the NBA Development League.

Furtik is the third player in the program’s history to play in the NBA Draft.

Former St Peter’s basketball player Eric Fisher, who is now a consultant for the University, was the first player taken in the 2018 NBA Draft and was drafted by the Houston Rockets in the sixth round.
