Princeton theologian: Trump, Cruz, Cruz’s Christian beliefs are ‘viciously divisive’

Princeton theologians have come out strongly in favor of Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.

The Princeton theologies Political Theory and Philosophy graduate theology union has endorsed the candidates and released a statement on the matter.

In a statement, the union said it believes that Cruz and Trump are “vicious and divisive” and that their views are “not compatible with our mission.”

The statement also said the two candidates have “disdain for the church” and have “failed to understand the church’s mission and value.”

The union said Cruz has also been “unqualified to lead the Republican Party.”

The Princeton theological semantical, whose president is Jerry Falwell Jr., released a video Thursday urging Princeton students to vote for the candidates.

Falwell has been endorsed by Cruz, Trump, Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, John Kasich and Marco Rubio.

The union also issued a statement in support of Trump and Cruz’s views on the Supreme Court, which is currently split 4-4 between Democrats and Republicans.

Trump has been pushing for an end to the current Supreme Court.
